What to Consider in Making a Wedding Card

To create a good first impression toward the people you invite to your wedding invite, it is absolutely critical to make a great looking wedding card. A wedding card printing should be able to introduce the theme of your wedding and the details about it, including the place, date, and the way people can participate in it to make it a successful event, such as dress code.

That’s why, there are a lot of important decision and considerations that must be made in the process of making a wedding card.

1. Wedding Card Theme

Before you actually start designing, why not decide on a theme first? This can be done along with deciding the theme of the wedding. Everything needs to be uniform to create a well planned event.

Settling on a wedding theme makes designing the wedding card much easier because you can already have the idea of what colors, fonts, embellishments, decorations that are suitable for the theme.

2. Wedding Card Paper

Making a wedding card look appealing does not only include beautiful typesetting, decorations, and images, but also the type of paper. There are a lot of different paper options that you can choose for your wedding card, and they vary in quality, texture, color, thickness, durability, and others. People prefer heavy card stock better than the normal paper because it is more durable so that it can be used as a keepsake. You also won’t have to worry about it getting damaged when the wedding cards get delivered. People also choose to use vellum to cover a thicker paper since it is translucent and makes a good coating. Moreover, it can be directly printed on. Some others instead choose to use cotton paper. However, it is more expensive. But if you want to go for a look that is elegant and beautiful, this is perfect for you.

3. Simple Design

Ideally, a wedding card should not include too much information especially ones that are unnecessary. Keeping the design simple is the way to go. Make sure that it only includes the essentials of the wedding that your guests should know, such as the name of the bride and groom, the place of the venue, time, date, and dress code there is one that is decided for them.

4. Envelope

Complete the look of your wedding card with an envelope. It is not mandatory, but it is a lot better to have an envelope for it. An envelope protects the wedding card and makes it look more proper. Make sure that you write the names of your guests properly. You can either use it traditionally or digitally. Each give off a different feel and you are free to choose either. Just make sure that you get a calligrapher if you choose to do it traditionally or choose the best typesetting if you choose to do it digitally. And most importantly, the envelope should have a design that match the design of the wedding card as well, at least the same color and typesetting.
